Fans of the hit South African television drama House of Zwide were left stunned and deeply concerned on Thursday evening following reports that one of the show's lead actors, Vusi Kunene, who plays the iconic role of Funani Zwide, was involved in a terrifying car accident in northern Johannesburg.

According to initial reports, the crash occurred around 9:45 PM near the N1 highway in Sandton. Eyewitnesses on the scene described the collision as “catastrophic,” with Kunene’s luxury SUV reportedly struck on the driver's side by a speeding delivery van that ran a red light at the intersection.

“The sound was like a bomb,” said Teboho Maseko, a witness who was driving just behind Kunene. “His car spun at least twice and crashed into the divider. It was total chaos. People were screaming, and we thought no one could have survived that.”
